Christmas Eve

It's Snowing Outside
Quiet Flakes Tumble Down
Inside It's a "Christmas Eve Feeling"
Country Christmas Music Playing
Reminds Me Of How It Used To Be
In Times Past:
When Parents Read "It's A Night Before Christmas" To Us
Next To The Tree
With The Fireplace Glowing
(What Could Be In Those Packages?)
----
Never Again, I Guess, Not That Way, Anyway
We Build A New Image
Different, But Warm And Solid
One That Lives On
----
For A Few Days We Forget About The Chaos Not Far Away
Can't Help But Think About How Lucky We Are
And Can't Help But Think About Those That Struggle
Help If You Can

Nice poem. Merry Christmas. And for the record, Twas The Night Before Christmas still gets read to the kids, at least in my family... and you're very much invited to join the something old/something new experience next year!
