Back around 1998, when I was living in Gig Harbor, WA, my friend George S. introduced me to the TV program, "CBS News Sunday Morning." It comes on every Sunday morning (dah!) at either 6:00AM or 7:00AM, depending if it's daylight savings time, or not.
It is a good show and I've been watching it pretty faithfully ever since then. (SIDEBAR: Once in awhile, early on, George would phone me at 7:00AM, Sunday morning to remind me to tune-in. Well, as a single guy, at that time, I wasn't always receptive to the early Sunday morning phone call to remind me to turn on the TV ... but I still love 'ya, George!)
Now, we "TIVO" the show. Our typical Sunday routine is to get the coffee going and maybe a danish or cinnamon toast and prop up in bed, with Panda (The "Princess" dog) and watch the show.
This morning they had a segment on Steve Winwood, the legendary rock & roll musician. It described his estate in England and the beautiful gardens. As I watched a TV tour through his grounds, I glanced out our bedroom window and saw the scene pictured below. I couldn't help but think: The Palouse ain't all that bad, either!
